This new trailer does a pretty good job of showing off most of the moves the player can perform in AFE. Even if you’ve played through the game I can almost guarantee you’ll see something here you didn’t know was possible.

ÆON FLUX Episodes has received a fair amount of coverage over the past few days with mostly positive reactions from players.  The release of AFE was a popular news story on moddb.com and was featured on their flash powered rotator.  The project was also revealed to readers of freepcgamers.com and rockpapershotgun.com.  I hadn’t heard of Rock, Paper, Shotgun until recently but it seems like a pretty clever blog and is worth bookmarking.  In a few days I’ll be releasing a game-play movie that shows off some of the moves you can perform in the game, most of which cannot be seen in the trailer.

After a week of adding finishing touches, testing, creating this blog and editing video I’m finally ready to release the beta version of my new game ÆON FLUX Episodes.  Please be sure to view the trailer and help yourself to a hand full of screenshots to your right.

Game Description

ÆON FLUX Episodes is an old school 2d side scroller for the PC, similar to some of the games of the mid ’90s.  It’s based primarily on the ÆON FLUX shorts from MTV’s Liquid Television and was developed using Game Maker game creation software from YoYo Games (www.yoyogames.com/make).  The game play mechanics are built around exploration, some pretty cool gymnastics and of course, lots of gun play.  AFE is meant to be enjoyed by the casual gamer and may be too light on difficulty for some.  This is however just a beta release so everything is subject to change.  Your comments and suggestions are welcome.  Please enjoy!
